Ginger Ackley is one of the 19 artists who have raised their voices in support of reproductive freedom on The Red Album: Pagan Voices for Reproductive Rights, which will be released in 2023. Her track is called Reclaim. She says about her track; “The traumas of life have captured small pieces of our souls. Those pieces remain trapped in the past, tethering both the person and those that have caused the pain. Neither can go forward until that tie is released. As I say in Reclaim; “It is time to reclaim our power and become whole!”

She can breathe calm,
And she can breathe fire
She can be both dragon and the slayer
She can be the light
And she can be the depth of darkness
For she, herself, has been to that place/those places
And found light with letting go
She can be quiet and take it all in
She can be boisterous and bold
And keep them at bay
She can be sarcastic and protect herself first
For she has already been self-deprecating
And insulted herself away
So she chose her words more carefully
And her kind words to herself helped to heal her soul
She can be grace and poise
And not “need” to make so much noise
